Community Matters:Community Based Participatory Research

Community Matters is a new  programme that the Foundation is deliverying in partnership with the University of Bath. Five Voluntary and Community Organisations will be working together with  researchers from the University of Bath on a research project that the community groups have identifed as being helpful to inform their future activities. This exciting new project will culminate in an event next year, 2017, where the findings of the research and the experiences of those involved in the project will be shared with an invited audience.Updates will be posted as the programme progresses.

Training for small community groups

South West Foundation has trained over 250 individuals in small community groups on topics such as providng your worth to funders, drafting accounts writing a business plan. We can sadly only deliver these training courses when funds allow.

CAFE CONVERSATIONS: A NEW PROJECT BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER

Cafe Conversations

The Foundation has just completed our highly successful Cafe Conversation Project which brought over 280 individuals from small community groups together at 7 different local events to look at 'hot topics'. The groups benefitted by meeting informally with each other over lunch to swap ideas, information about funders and to look at forming new connections.
