In partnership with Bath Spa University and the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) the Foundation will be putting on a series of three events through the Community Development Network.The aim of the events is to bring together Voluntary and Community groups with learning providers to look at how the two sectors can work better together and to consider partnerships. These events include Women and Learning, Communities and Learning providers working together and developing communities through learning.

Achievements of SWCDN to date have been:
Creating changesThe Foundation, in partnership with Bath Spa University and the Federation for Community Development Learning held a very successful national Conference on July 26th 2011 at the Newton Park campus of Bath Spa University. Creating Changes celebrated the value of Community Development Learning.

A partnership of The Federation for Community Development Learning, South West Foundation and the School of Education at Bath Spa University held a conference at the Bath Spa campus in late July. Just when they thought that it was all over, John Holman caught Jan Crawley of the South West Foundation, Jim Crawley of Bath Spa University, and Janice Marks and Dean T. Huggins of the Federation for Community Development Learning over a coffee and recorded this "wrap up" video for Transition Vision's Community Channel

Outreach Unit, Bath Spa University and South West Foundation. Delegates
experienced the delightful setting of Corsham Court and found out about
how
communities
can engage with Parliament and give therr views on ways in which
Parliament could
